Health Care Aide Daily Living Support

Support person-centered daily living care as a Health Care Aide with Southern Health-Santé Sud. Apply ADL support, communication, and clinical standards.
Working under Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Psychiatric Nurse direction, the Health Care Aide assists residents and patients according to care plans. You will work to full scope, maintain competency through education and certifications, and follow established practice standards. The position requires initiative, organization, and independent judgment while supporting safe care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living
Follow resident and patient care plans
Work under designated nursing team leader direction
Maintain competency through education and certifications
Apply person-centered care standards consistently
Requirements:
Grade 12 and recognized Health Care Aide Certificate
Current Basic Life Support certification for Acute Care
One to two years’ health care experience preferred
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize and prioritize assigned workload
Use your Health Care Aide training, ADL support skills, and judgment to provide respectful care across Southern Health-Santé Sud.
