Facilities Maintenance Coordinator Childcare
Compass Early Learning and Care
Coordinate facilities maintenance for Compass Early Learning and Care, supporting safe, accessible spaces across leased and owned childcare locations. Apply facility knowledge and vendor coordination experience.
This permanent, Monday-to-Friday position supports CELC’s Operations Team and organizational growth. The coordinator stewards spaces serving children, families, and team members while collaborating with program, finance, purchasing, and operations colleagues. Responsibilities include site visits, capital planning, inspections, documentation, and minor repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site visits to identify maintenance and operational needs
Coordinate vendors for facilities maintenance and improvement projects
Coordinate annual playground inspections and maintenance
Maintain property, warranty, appliance, and systems documentation
Perform minor repairs using hand and power tools
Requirements:
Awareness of Child Care and Early Years Act requirements
Knowledge of occupational health, building, and fire codes
AODA training and knowledge
Knowledge of playground and surfacing standards
Valid driver’s license and clear Vulnerable Sector Check
Bring facilities coordination, regulatory awareness, and maintenance knowledge to Compass Early Learning and Care’s childcare spaces.
