The Parts Technician manages and dispenses parts inventories, and is responsible for the day-to-day stock handling, identifying and cataloguing of parts and assemblies, ordering, receiving, inspecting, and sorting of parts.

What You’ll Be Doing
Order parts for site mobile equipment and generators using the company’s PO request system;
Record and monitor parts that are on order, expected delivery and arrival on site dates;
Coordinate with the site maintenance mechanic for required parts and what needs to be ordered for preventive and repair maintenance;
Responsible for parts inventory and ensure parts inventory are at required levels;
Request quotes from parts vendors and evaluate and recommendations on where to purchase parts considering economics, quality of parts, and expected timeline
Coordinate with vendors and arrange pick up of parts as needed;
Follow up on parts order and do necessary coordination to ensure timely delivery of parts to site;
Perform other general functions as may be requested;
Who We’re Looking For
Extensive experience (typically 3+ years) in a similar role within a heavy equipment, or industrial process environment
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Self-starter with the ability to proactively manage workload;
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
Valid drivers license.

Inventory management experience is an asset.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different personalities.
