Highway Maintenance Operator Alberta

Keep Alberta highways safe as a Highway Maintenance Operator using traffic control, equipment operation, and emergency response skills. This is full-time, permanent work provincewide.
Reporting to the Foreman, you will maintain highway functionality and roadway safety for Volker Stevin. The work includes signage, traffic management, equipment care, facility maintenance, documentation, and compliance. You will support weather, accident, and wildlife hazard responses.
Key Responsibilities:

Promote safe, productive highway maintenance operations
Install signage and manage traffic control measures
Respond to weather events, accidents, and wildlife hazards
Maintain equipment, vehicles, facilities, logs, and safety records
Operate heavy equipment in outdoor conditions
Requirements:

Valid Class 3 or Class 1 licence with air brakes
Driver’s Abstract showing no more than six demerits
No major infractions on the Driver’s Abstract
Snowplow operation experience of 50 or more hours preferred
Availability for on-call and night shifts
Bring highway maintenance, traffic management, and equipment operation skills to Volker Stevin projects throughout Alberta.
