Support surgical safety as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician at Rockyview Surgical Centre in Calgary, working on-site full-time with sterile processing expertise.
Clearpoint Health Network is recruiting a permanent, full-time Medical Device Reprocessing Technician for its Calgary surgical centre. You will clean, disassemble, reassemble, function test, package, sterilize, and store reusable medical devices. The position applies aseptic technique and infection control practices while supporting surgical suite operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean, assemble, sterilize, and store reusable medical devices
Perform biological and chemical indicator quality assurance testing
Report equipment and processing problems to the supervisor
Collaborate and communicate with health care team members
Support new staff orientation and required education
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Medical Device Reprocessing program
Fluent English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding
Recent medical device reprocessing experience is an asset
Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and push carts
Use sterile processing, quality assurance, and infection control skills to support safe surgical care in Calgary.
