Remote Resort Facilities Technician
Sonora Resort
Support remote resort operations on Sonora Island through facilities maintenance, infrastructure checks, and problem-solving. Work onsite in British Columbia with rotating shifts.
This full-time, year-round Maintenance position helps keep Sonora Resort’s buildings, generators, water systems, and sewage treatment plant operating. The position combines routine servicing with urgent repairs, equipment safety, and daily coordination with colleagues and managers. Resort infrastructure experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain resort infrastructure through daily inspections and records
Attend repairs throughout guest and staff facilities
Assist with mechanical and electrical equipment repairs
Keep equipment in safe, effective working condition
Drive small electric vehicles around the resort
Requirements:
Two years of relevant maintenance or trade-related experience
Knowledge of HVAC, LPG boilers, plumbing, and structural systems
Experience with gasoline and diesel engines
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or cohesively within a team
Bring facilities maintenance, equipment repair, and analytical troubleshooting skills to Sonora Resort’s isolated operational environment.
