Supply Chain Purchasing Buyer

Supply chain purchasing expertise meets quoting and ERP inventory management at Copper and Brass Sales, part of thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. This Buyer manages product responsibilities across purchasing, expediting, and tactical supply chain activities.
The Buyer supports sales contracts, converts purchase requisitions, and manages standard inventory items through the Business Unit ERP. The position schedules material against inventory objectives, handles returns, and maintains supplier relationships. It also supports contractual purchasing, risk evaluation, and supply alternatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Quote and support sales contracts
Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders
Manage standard inventory through the Business Unit ERP
Schedule material to meet inventory objectives
Process returns, credits, and debits
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
Knowledge of purchasing procedures
Accurate record and file maintenance
Understanding of supplier and mill capabilities
One to two years of purchasing experience preferred
Apply purchasing procedures, ERP inventory management, supplier communication, and supply chain coordination as a Copper and Brass Sales Buyer.
