Mental Health Social Worker Victoria

Support youth mental health care in Victoria as a Social Worker using assessment, intervention, and referral skills across multiple sites.
Island Health seeks a Social Worker for its Youth Short Term Assessment and Response service. Working under the Coordinator, you will provide client-centered care within a multidisciplinary health care team. The position addresses social, economic, emotional, or psychological barriers affecting care and optimal function.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess clients and caregiver families facing barriers to care
Provide interventions, consultations, and referrals for services
Coordinate workload and respond to emergent situations
Establish effective relationships with patients and health care providers
Operate computerized systems and related equipment
Requirements:
Bachelor of Social Work from a recognized university
Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers
Two years of recent related experience, or equivalent
Knowledge of serious mental illness and substance use care
Valid British Columbia driver's licence
