Water Wastewater Compliance Technician

Support environmental compliance and process control for OCWA in the Simcoe Muskoka Region, Ontario, using analytical skills and water treatment knowledge.
As a Process and Compliance Technician, you will implement programs supporting environmental compliance, process control, and health and safety requirements. The work involves water and wastewater treatment processes, facility evaluation, audits, and regulatory interpretation. You will analyze data, resolve compliance issues, and advise contacts across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement environmental compliance and process control programs
Inspect, operate, and monitor treatment processes and equipment
Conduct internal audits and participate in inspections
Prepare technical letters, reports, procedures, charts, and graphs
Provide compliance advice and facilitate staff training
Requirements:
OIT to Class IV applicable water or wastewater certification
Post-secondary environmental education or relevant field knowledge
Valid Class G driver's licence
Availability for emergencies or scheduled on-call work
Travel throughout the Cluster and strong Microsoft Office proficiency
