Lead AI/ML direction for Stripe’s Conversation Platform, building RAG systems and fine-tuned models for merchants worldwide. This engineering leadership role is end to end.
As an Engineering Manager, you will guide teams developing machine learning models, streaming feature pipelines, and production systems. You will set technical and process direction based on business goals. The team builds conversation capabilities that automate easy tasks and assist users with difficult ones.
Key Responsibilities:

Drive an ambitious AI/ML vision benefiting Stripe users
Set technical and process direction for the team
Coordinate product integrations with partner teams
Build prototypes from proposed ideas
Hire, develop, and coach machine learning engineers
Requirements:

At least four years managing machine learning teams
Machine Learning Engineer or Applied Scientist experience
Experience building and shipping machine learning systems
Experience leading teams in ambiguous environments
Preferred experience shipping LLM and RAG systems
Shape Stripe’s AI Conversation Platform through technical leadership, production machine learning, team development, and RAG expertise.
