Mercana
Build business development skills through market research, outreach, and customer engagement with Mercana, a design-first home furnishings wholesaler. This internship includes travel to High Point Market.
The Growth and Business Development Intern supports expansion into new markets across retail, design, and online channels. You will identify potential customers, build account pipelines, and support onboarding. The role suits students pursuing Business, Marketing, or a related field who are interested in sales or entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect and qualify new retail, design, and online customers
Build and maintain target account pipelines and market maps
Conduct outreach through email, LinkedIn, and phone
Research competitors, markets, customers, and industry trends
Support presentations, follow-ups, and account onboarding
Requirements:
Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Strong interest in business development, sales, or entrepreneurship
Outgoing, confident, and comfortable speaking with new people
Highly motivated, organized, and proactive
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Develop practical pipeline, research, outreach, and customer engagement experience while representing Mercana at High Point Market.
