Childcare Program Assistant Russell

Support children’s daily routines and development as a Program Assistant in Russell, Ontario, working full-time on-site through August 2027.
This contractual Program Assistant works with educators in Childcare & Education. You will help maintain a safe, caring, stimulating environment while supporting routines and daily activities. The work may include individualized support for a child with special needs, promoting inclusion and participation within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with educators to support daily group functioning
Support children during routines and daily activities
Contribute to children’s development in a stimulating environment
Provide individualized support for a child with special needs
Promote inclusion and participation within the group
Requirements:
Valid CPR and First Aid certification
Negative vulnerable sector criminal record check within six months
At least 18 years old
Excellent English understanding, speaking, reading, and writing
Communication, interpersonal, patience, empathy, and flexibility skills
Bring patience, empathy, and teamwork to support children’s inclusion, participation, routines, and development in Russell.
