Prepare nourishing meals at Chartwell as a Cook, using culinary skills and attention to detail to support residents’ dining experiences. Follow menu guidelines and safe food handling practices.
This Cook position prepares, cooks, and plates food for Chartwell residents. You will maintain sanitary preparation areas, serve meals on time, and assist with food supplies. Previous food services cooking experience and Food Handler certification are required. Effective communication with internal and external customers is important.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and plate food according to menu guidelines
Follow public health and safe food handling regulations
Maintain sanitary food preparation areas and kitchen equipment
Serve meals on time at the correct temperature
Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies
Requirements:
Previous cooking experience in food services
Food Handler certification
Collaborative approach as a team member
Effective communication with internal and external customers
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
