Asset Protection Investigations Specialist

Protect customers, associates, and company assets at The Home Depot through investigations, theft prevention, and clear incident reporting. This store-based role includes some travel.
As an Asset Protection Specialist, you will prevent and investigate financial loss from external and internal theft and fraud. You will execute Asset Protection strategy using available tools, support key processes, and address malicious activity concerns. The position requires retail operations knowledge, analytical ability, and strong communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct safe, nonphysical shoplifting apprehensions under laws and company policies
Inspect store security and address discrepancies with leadership
Document incidents, preserve evidence, and coordinate with law enforcement
Communicate investigative actions and outcomes with your direct leader
Promote Asset Protection awareness with store associates
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
At least one year in investigations, security, or loss prevention
Familiarity with retail operations and shrink prevention
Strong analytical, verbal, and report writing abilities
Home Depot Asset Protection training and certification requirements
Apply investigative judgment, retail loss prevention knowledge, and effective communication as an Asset Protection Specialist.
