Licensed Practical Nurse Resident Care
Sienna Living
Licensed Practical Nurses provide resident care through sound nursing practice, medication control, and individualized assessments within assigned home areas. This position supports Sienna Senior Living communities.
The Licensed Practical Nurse delivers nursing and personal care according to policy, physician orders, care plans, and scope of practice. The position collaborates with residents, families, Registered Nurses, medical specialists, and interprofessional teams. It also guides Personal Support Workers while supporting dignity, autonomy, independence, and personal lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing and personal care within established policies
Safeguard drugs and narcotics while following assigned-shift protocols
Report resident status changes promptly to Registered Nurses
Document assessments, interventions, and individualized care plans
Collaborate with residents, families, and interprofessional teams
Requirements:
Diploma in Practical Nursing
Current Licensed Practical Nurse registration with the College of Nurses BC
Annual RAI MDS certification completion as required
Current First Aid with CPR
Long-term care experience is an asset
