Hospital Environmental Services Attendant

Support patient safety through environmental cleaning and infection control as a Housekeeping Attendant at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Maintain pristine healthcare spaces.
As part of Mount Sinai’s Support Services team, you will perform essential cleaning duties throughout the hospital. Your work includes floor care, washroom cleanliness, waste collection, and inventory restocking. You will operate housekeeping equipment while adapting to changing assignments. Training supports industry leading environmental cleaning and infection prevention practices. The department includes more than 400 housekeepers, porters, and other professionals serving patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Dust, sweep, mop, and buff floors throughout assigned areas
Collect garbage and maintain clean, sanitary washrooms
Monitor and restock inventory in public areas and clinics
Operate housekeeping equipment for assigned cleaning tasks
Complete other duties consistent with the classification
Requirements:
Successful completion of a high school diploma
Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
Ability to adapt within a constantly changing environment
Verbal and written communication proficiency
Satisfactory work performance and attendance history
