Cryogenic Operations Technician I

Monitor cryogenic equipment and biological specimens as a Biorepository Technician I in Mississauga or Toronto, working fully on-site. Apply precision and safety daily.
CooperSurgical seeks an entry-level technician for its Cryogenic Operations Department. You will support long-term inventory of cryopreserved biological specimens through equipment monitoring, inventory transfers, calibrations, and preventative maintenance. The work includes databases, quality control, kit assembly, label printing, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage receiving, assessment, storage, transfer, and distribution activities
Monitor equipment, including bulk liquid nitrogen supply systems
Perform quality control checks, calibrations, and maintenance
Respond to alerts and protect specimen integrity
Update databases, reports, records, and standard operating procedures
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline
At least one year of professional setting experience
English communication and basic arithmetic skills
Basic Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Microsoft Excel
Ability to follow instructions and lift up to 55 pounds
Support CooperSurgical’s cryogenic operations through accurate inventory control, equipment monitoring, documentation, and safe specimen handling.
