Adult Mandarin School Instructor
Langara College
Teach adult Mandarin courses at Langara College in Vancouver, applying strong communication and adult education skills. This temporary position runs from January through April.
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Instructor delivers and evaluates an assigned course according to its curriculum and course outline. You will prepare materials, plan lessons, develop assignments and exams, and support student learning outcomes. The position requires course development experience and post-secondary teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver curriculum according to the assigned course outline
Prepare lessons, materials, assignments, and examinations
Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback
Record attendance and administer course evaluations
Submit grades, reports, timesheets, and registers on time
Requirements:
Master’s degree or related professional license or designation
At least two years’ post-secondary teaching experience
Experience developing course materials or curriculum
Knowledge of contemporary adult education principles
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Bring adult education expertise, curriculum development, and student evaluation skills to Langara College’s Adult Mandarin School.
