Labour and Delivery Unit Attendant

Support safe patient care in Labour and Delivery as a Unit Attendant at Grey Nuns Community Hospital, preparing rooms and medical equipment.
This temporary part-time position works evenings within the Labour and Delivery program. The Unit Attendant moves patients, supplies, and materials throughout the hospital while maintaining a clean, safe, stocked environment. Responsibilities include room preparation, equipment stocking, medical equipment preparation for MDRD, and equipment movement.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with Labour and Delivery staff supporting safe quality care
Clean and prepare triage, labour, and operating rooms
Stock assigned areas and prepare medical equipment for MDRD
Move patients, supplies, materials, and equipment throughout the hospital
Requirements:
Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent
Experience as a unit attendant or service aide preferred
Labour and Delivery experience preferred
Hospital housekeeping experience preferred
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required before work begins
Bring patient movement, room preparation, and equipment support skills to Covenant Health’s Labour and Delivery team in Edmonton.
