Municipal Water Wastewater Lead

Utility Operator III provides trusted technical leadership under the Foreman, Utilities. You will help oversee drinking water, fire protection, and wastewater collection systems through hands-on maintenance and operational coordination. Responsibilities include troubleshooting infrastructure, supporting projects, addressing customer concerns, coaching crews, and helping during emergencies. The position participates in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure
Implement corrective actions to preserve system integrity
Apply sustainable practices across operational activities and programs
Contribute technical expertise to project development and advancement
Handle customer concerns professionally and promptly
Requirements:
Five or more years maintaining and repairing municipal systems
Demonstrated SCADA, water meter, mobile mapping, and GIS experience
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills supporting engaged teamwork
Comfort using power tools, heavy equipment, and data entry software
Availability for rotating 24/7 on-call duty and occasional overtime
