Patient Portering Hospitality Porter

Support patient movement at Trillium Health Partners as a full-time Hospitality Porter on site at Mississauga Hospital. Transport patients safely using beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
Working in Patient Support Services, this Hospitality Porter transports patients between units and destinations such as x-ray. The position also moves specimens, equipment, furniture, supplies, and linen throughout the hospital. You will assist patients during transfers, maintain transport equipment, and communicate with the Customer Support Call Centre and Leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport patients by bed, stretcher, or wheelchair
Assist patients in and out of transport equipment
Deliver laboratory specimens and deceased patients according to protocols
Move equipment, furniture, supplies, and clean or soiled linen
Clean, inventory, strip, and prepare stretchers
Requirements:
Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent support services experience preferred
Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, customers, and coworkers
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
Physical ability to complete required job duties
Availability for days, evenings, nights, and weekends
