School Age Educator Sarnia
YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metro Area
Plan child-centered programs as a School Age Educator with the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario in Sarnia, supporting children ages 4–12.
This position delivers safe, quality care in licensed school age programs across multiple Sarnia locations. Educators support children and families, maintain supervision, and create inclusive environments where every child belongs. The schedule runs Monday to Friday before and after school, up to 25 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan engaging programs for children ages 4–12
Deliver child-centered activities in licensed programs
Provide safe, quality care for children and families
Maintain supervision and child safety at all times
Follow YMCA policies and CCEYA requirements
Requirements:
Experience working with children ages 4–12
Enrollment or completion in Early Childhood Education
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
Current Vulnerable Sector Check within six months
Minimum 18 years of age
Bring child-focused programming, supervision, and inclusive care to School Age Educator assignments throughout Sarnia.
