Intermediate Building Mechanical Design Technician
EXP
Support building assessments, designs, and construction projects in Calgary as an intermediate technician focused on mechanical systems and site reviews.
EXP’s Western Canada Buildings practice is seeking an experienced Project Technician for diversified institutional, municipal, commercial, industrial, public, and private work. You will help integrate ventilation, heating, air conditioning, and plumbing systems into projects. The position combines surveys, design updates, calculations, reviews, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in mechanical systems design for building projects
Gather site information through field surveys and reviews
Verify execution generally conforms with plans and specifications
Collaborate closely with engineers and other project disciplines
Maintain current knowledge of standards, technologies, and building tools
Requirements:
Mechanical systems or building diploma, or equivalent training
Five to seven years’ mechanical systems experience
Experience ideally gained in consulting engineering
Curiosity, initiative, and collaborative stakeholder skills
Valid driver’s license and basic French proficiency required
Contribute mechanical systems expertise, site review capability, and design support to EXP’s diverse Calgary building projects.
