Registered Nurse Preoperative PACU Care

Preoperative assessment and PACU expertise define this full-time Registered Nurse position at Lacroix Private Medicine in Quebec. Work Monday to Friday, four to five days weekly.
This experienced, autonomous Registered Nurse provides care before and after surgical procedures. The position involves collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the clinical team. Key skills include clinical judgment, patient education, medication administration, and postoperative monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and prepare patients before surgery
Review histories, medications, tests, and medical records
Monitor vital signs, consciousness, pain, and symptoms
Administer treatments and medications under orders and protocols
Educate patients and prepare safe discharge
Requirements:
Diploma of College Studies in Nursing or equivalent
Good-standing membership with the OIIQ
Minimum two years of PACU experience
Excellent clinical judgment and effective prioritization
Strong emergency-response and stress-management skills
