Powerline Technician Distribution Systems

Powerline Technicians construct and maintain electrical distribution systems up to 44.4 kV for Wasaga Distribution Inc. in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. Apprentices may apply.
Wasaga Resource Services Inc. supports safe, reliable electricity delivery throughout the Wasaga Distribution service area. Working with Operations, you will perform overhead and underground distribution work, including live line tasks, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency restoration. The position requires teamwork, customer service, quality workmanship, and compliance with legislation, safety requirements, and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain overhead distribution systems
Build and repair underground cables and equipment
Perform live line work on electrical distribution lines
Install poles, conductors, and associated apparatus
Restore power during emergencies and complete on-call duties
Requirements:
Ontario 434A certificate or registered Powerline Technician apprenticeship
Working at Heights and Utility Work Protection Code training
Valid Ontario Class D licence with Z endorsement
Knowledge of IHSA rules, OHSA, WHMIS, and Book 7
Ability to work at heights and in varying weather
