The Dietitian advises patients, clients, families, and communities on food and nutrition across health sectors. The position provides nutritional leadership through health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, support, and rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities:
Provide competent, safe, and ethical dietetic practice
Advise on diet, food, and nutrition
Support nutritional health through treatment and rehabilitation
Collaborate with inter-professional healthcare providers
Precept Dietetic Interns within the internship program
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree concentrated in Foods and Nutrition
Completion of the Dietetic Internship Program
Current Nova Scotia dietetics registration or eligibility
Competency in dysphagia, enteral, and parenteral nutrition
Interpersonal, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
