Temporary Part Time Phlebotomy Technician

Phlebotomy and patient service define this temporary part time Lab Patient Technician role with LifeLabs. Various shifts support specimen collection and testing.
As a Lab Patient Technician, you manage the specimen collection process from greeting patients through specimen preparation. The position includes phlebotomies, ECG tracings, Holter monitor connections, special test collections, and documentation. Patient privacy, accurate data entry, and responsive client service remain central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and confirm required information and test protocols
Perform phlebotomies, ECG tracings, and Holter monitor procedures
Collect special tests and complete related documentation
Enter patient demographics and requisition information accurately
Prepare specimens for transportation and testing
Requirements:
Approved Laboratory Assistant program graduate or equivalent preferred
Phlebotomy experience considered an asset
ECG training or experience considered an asset
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
