Service Desk Technician Level I

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Service Desk Technician Level I to join our IT team in Langley, BC. Reporting to the Manager, IT Service Desk, you will provide first-level incident support and resolution for business applications and hardware.
Responsibilities
Providing first-level support and resolution for incidents related to Business Applications and Hardware.
Troubleshooting issues involving Operating Systems, Applications, Networks, Internet connectivity, Email, Input and Output devices.
Resolving problems through phone, Email, remote connection, and instant messaging.
Utilizing knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the Internet and Intranet to troubleshoot incidents to resolution.
Escalating unresolved issues to Level 2 and Level 3 resources promptly and efficiently.
Documenting and updating information in the ticketing system as required.
Following up with end users to provide status updates and confirm resolution satisfaction.
Collaborating with IT team members to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines of the IT Department.
Requirements
A degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology; or 1+ years of relevant experience in a Help Desk or IT Service Desk role.
Very organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A strategic and results-oriented thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
An excellent communicator, both verbal and written.

Compensation
Compensation Details: $54,909.00 - $68,636.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
