Payroll Tax Support Specialist

Support United States payroll questions remotely through Workday, ticketing tools, and accurate tier-one case resolution for employees.
Opensity Solutions seeks a Payroll Tax Support Specialist supporting one consolidated, multi-state operation of 5,000–10,000 employees. You will manage payroll inquiries involving pay, deductions, taxes, and direct deposit, while providing empathetic responses and complete escalations. The role reports to the Payroll Tax & Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor payroll mailbox and ticketing portal within SLA requirements
Resolve tier-one pay, deduction, tax, and direct deposit cases
Log, categorize, and track cases through resolution
Produce pay statements, W-2 reprints, and VOE requests
Escalate complex processing issues with complete context
Requirements:
Three or more years in payroll or employee support
Beginner to intermediate United States tax compliance knowledge
Knowledge of gross-to-net payroll, taxes, and deductions
Workday and ticketing or case tools preferred
Fluent English and overlap with United States business hours
Apply payroll knowledge, discretion, and written communication skills to support employees and maintain accurate case resolutions remotely.
