Supply Chain Buyer Intern

Build purchasing experience in Newmarket with Celestica as a Student Intern, Buyer, using Excel, Google Sheets, and supply chain fundamentals.
This 16-month internship supports Celestica’s Global Business Services Supply Chain Management team. You will coordinate buying, planning, Supplier Quality Engineering, and procurement operations. The work includes purchasing activities, supplier communication, logistics resolution, data accuracy, quality metrics, and New Product Introduction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Convert approved requisitions into purchase orders
Obtain and adjust supplier delivery confirmations
Issue RFQs and confirm quantities, pricing, and lead times
Track metrics and project deliverables
Resolve shipment holds and purchase order discrepancies
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an internship program
Completing specified university or diploma studies
Specializing in supply chain, operations, business, or engineering
Strong Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel proficiency
Knowledge of Power BI and purchasing practices
