School Custodian Halifax HRCE
Halifax Regional Centre for Education
Maintain clean, sanitary school facilities with HRCE using janitorial skills, basic computer knowledge, and safe work practices. All shifts are available.
As a Custodian within the Operations Services Department, you will support the Halifax Regional Centre for Education. The position reports to the Caretaker and receives direction from the Building Management Supervisor. Your work helps maintain attractive school buildings through professional, efficient, proactive cleaning and maintenance duties. The role follows Department and Centre policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain clean and sanitary school buildings and facilities
Complete cleaning and janitorial duties safely
Perform maintenance duties according to established procedures
Support attractive appearances throughout school facilities
Follow direction from the Caretaker and supervisor
Requirements:
High School Diploma or academic equivalent
Ability to lift 50 pounds for cleaning duties
Basic computer skills
Availability for day, evening, and night shifts
Previous janitorial experience is an asset
Bring safe cleaning, maintenance, and janitorial skills to support welcoming school facilities across the Halifax Regional Centre for Education.
