Mechanical Design Engineer SolidWorks Robotics

Design robotic equipment with advanced SolidWorks skills at Mycionics in Kitchener, Ontario, taking concepts through manufacturing in a full-time role.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will create complex assemblies for mushroom harvesting and packing systems. The work spans sheet metal, weldments, machined components, actuator selection, production drawings, and bills of materials. You will also prototype concepts and communicate with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Design complex assemblies using SolidWorks
Create sheet metal, weldment, and machined components
Calculate loads and select actuators, motors, and sensors
Generate production drawings and accurate bills of materials
Prototype concepts using 3D printing and rapid methods
Requirements:
2–3+ years of full-time industry experience
Advanced CAD proficiency, preferably SolidWorks
Mechanical systems and electric actuator integration experience
Strong sheet metal, weldment, and CNC machining knowledge
Clear manufacturable drawings and tolerancing proficiency
