Senior Accountant Burnaby Hybrid Contract

Apply full-cycle accounting expertise as a Senior Accountant in Burnaby, with hybrid work and an initial six-month temporary contract. Start immediately or on short notice while supporting financial operations and accounting projects.

Reporting to senior accounting leadership, this hands-on position supports month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and project accounting. You will collaborate across teams, manage competing deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations
Prepare financial reconciliations and investigate accounting discrepancies
Assist accounting projects with data analysis and financial reporting
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Collaborate with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams
Requirements:
Strong hands-on full-cycle accounting experience
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
Experience with accounting projects or process improvements considered an asset
CPA designation considered an asset, but not required
Eligibility for Controlled Goods Program screening and hybrid Burnaby work
