Public Health Promotion Facilitator

Advance health equity in Grande Prairie as a Health Promotion Facilitator using community engagement and population health expertise. This full-time role serves rural communities.
As a Health Promotion Facilitator I, you will support healthier communities through mentoring, advocacy, education, and collaboration. You will connect people and communities with regional or provincial resources while supporting health promotion strategies. Your work will address injury prevention, chronic disease prevention, cancer reduction, and optimal health.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop community relationships with local groups and healthcare stakeholders
Plan and facilitate health workshops, seminars, and presentations
Support program implementation, consultation, and evaluation
Review health data and identify population health trends
Prepare work plans, budgets, and year-end reports
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in health promotion, health sciences, or related field
Registration with the applicable professional college or association
Valid Class 5 Alberta Operator’s Licence
Experience working with communities or public health settings preferred
Health promotion activity experience preferred
Bring public health knowledge, community collaboration, and evaluation skills to advance healthier rural communities across Grande Prairie.
