Support Edmonton community members at The Mustard Seed using person-centred care, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution. This full-time role is on-site at Canora Centre.
As a Community Support Worker, you will support participants accessing the Canora Centre drop-in. The work includes advocacy, case management, meaningful conversations, and referrals connecting guests with internal and external resources. You will help maintain a safe, respectful, and confidential environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide dignified, kind, equitable service as first participant contact
Respond to crises using de-escalation and conflict resolution
Connect participants with housing, identification, and support resources
Assist daily meal programs and community programming
Maintain records, incident reports, privacy, and confidentiality
Requirements:

One year working with a marginalized population
Strong written, verbal communication, and conflict resolution skills
Experience with inner-city or vulnerable communities
Ability to multitask and organize shifting priorities
Valid driver's licence and employment background check
Use advocacy, crisis response, and compassionate communication to support participants at The Mustard Seed’s Edmonton Canora Centre.
