Sentinel Secondary Library Assistant

Help students and staff find materials at Sentinel Secondary while processing borrower requests and supporting daily library operations. The assignment runs weekdays.
West Vancouver Schools is hiring a Teacher Assistant-Library for a temporary assignment from November 16, 2026, through June 29, 2027. Working fifteen hours weekly, the position uses computerized and manual systems for library services. The successful candidate will report to the Principal or Designate.
Key Responsibilities:
Help staff and students locate library materials
Process requests from library borrowers
Perform a variety of general library duties
Operate computerized and manual library systems
Requirements:
Grade 12 graduation or equivalent qualifications
Library experience involving bibliographic data
Working knowledge of library computer software
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
Physical ability to perform assigned duties
Bring organized library service, interpersonal communication, and computer software experience to Sentinel Secondary's library team.
