Underground Mechanized Bolter Westwood Mine

Operate mechanized bolting equipment at IAMGOLD’s Westwood Mine, drilling headings and installing ground support on a stated rotation. Inspect underground headings, scale loose rock, and stabilize rock masses through careful bolting work under Shift Supervisor direction.
Redpath’s Mechanized Bolter supports the Eastwood Development project at the Westwood Mine. The position requires underground mining experience, mechanized bolting, resin rebar installation, and knowledge of ground support components. You will also interpret engineering prints, follow verbal instructions, inspect equipment, and communicate work status across shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and rectify unsafe conditions in underground headings
Drill holes using mechanized bolting equipment
Install resin rebar and required ground support components
Track progress and communicate workplace status to supervisors
Perform pre-operational inspections and operate equipment safely
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least two years using mechanized bolting equipment underground
Minimum three years’ experience as an underground miner
Knowledge of WHMIS legislation and MSDS sheet use
Ability to comply with applicable Mining Regulations
Bring underground mining experience, mechanized bolting skills, and safety knowledge to ground support work at Westwood Mine.
