Adult ICU Critical Care Nurse
Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre
Provide critical care nursing at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre as a full-time temporary Registered Nurse. Apply ICU expertise, ACLS, and clinical judgment.
This Registered Nurse position delivers quality patient care within RVH standards, College of Nurses of Ontario requirements, and relevant legislation. Current progressive Adult ICU or CCU experience is required, alongside independent practice within scope. The assignment is temporary, anticipated to end 01 April 2028, and represented by ONA. Candidates need critical care preparation, Coronary Care Level 1 or equivalent, and post graduate study in cardiology, respiratory systems, and physical assessment. CNCC(C) is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide quality patient care within the ICU delivery model
Apply nursing processes and professional responsibilities independently
Communicate with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary team members
Perform ICU patient care physical demands
Support continuous quality improvement and customer service
Requirements:
Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
Required Critical Care Certificate
Current ACLS and BLS certification
Current progressive Adult ICU or CCU nursing experience
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
Bring Adult ICU experience, critical care certification, and accountable patient care to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
