Roads Maintenance Contracts Coordinator

Coordinate roads maintenance contracts for the Town of Ajax using contract administration, field supervision, and technical service support across assigned operations.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Technical Services and Maintenance Contracts, this position supports municipal road maintenance programs. Responsibilities include estimating, contract preparation, inspections, contractor oversight, records, cost management, and public assistance. The role also supports compliance, investigations, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate project management and administration for roads maintenance contracts
Schedule field operations and supervise contractor compliance with standards
Review work logs, records, inspections, and payment documentation
Investigate inquiries, complaints, concerns, and claims affecting assigned contracts
Track winter events, material usage, costs, and recoveries
Requirements:
College diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
Minimum five years of progressive related civil engineering experience
Certified Engineering Technologist designation or willingness to obtain
Knowledge of Minimum Maintenance Standards and Ontario Provincial Standards
Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License in good standing
