Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Emergency nursing expertise meets patient-centred care at Charlton Campus in Hamilton. This regular part-time RN position involves rotating shifts across days, evenings, nights, and afternoons.
St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton seeks a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The RN provides evidence-informed care, assesses health needs, and supports patients with complex needs, high acuity, and less predictable outcomes. Collaboration, leadership, and crisis intervention are central to this practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient-centred, evidence-informed emergency nursing care
Assess needs and deliver supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative, or rehabilitative care
Collaborate with the inter-professional team
Lead care and treatment for complex, high-acuity patients
Work under medical directives after required education and evaluation
Requirements:
Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
Current BCLS/HCP certification
Recent emergency nursing experience with adult, child, and psychiatric care
Minimum three years of recent related general nursing experience preferred
Strong communication, prioritization, critical thinking, and leadership skills
