Newton Hemo Dialysis Unit seeks a casual Registered Nurse in Surrey, B.C., for direct renal patient care and inter-professional collaboration.
Working within Fraser Health, this Registered Nurse assesses, plans, provides, and evaluates nursing care. Candidates must have successfully completed Renal Specialty Education and maintain current BCCNM registration. The work includes patient teaching, documentation, referrals, clinical competence, and support for safe, person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families
Advocate for privacy, dignity, choice, and autonomy
Provide teaching supporting health goals and discharge
Initiate referrals with the care team
Maintain current clinical competence and knowledge
Requirements:
Graduation from an approved nursing school
Renal Specialty Education completion
Current BCCNM Registered Nurse practicing registration
Two years’ recent designated-area clinical experience
Physical ability to perform position duties
Use renal expertise, patient advocacy, education, and documentation skills as a casual Registered Nurse in Surrey.
