Registered Practical Nurse Acute Medicine

Registered Practical Nurse needed at WRHN @ Midtown for full-time acute medicine care, communication, and safe clinical practice during 2D2N shifts.
This Registered Practical Nurse position supports General Medicine – 8 ABC at WRHN @ Midtown. The nurse works with nursing and allied staff to maintain professional practice standards within the clinical setting. The position also contributes to a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Acute Medicine experience is preferred, with medical patient care knowledge required.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain professional nursing practice standards within clinical settings
Collaborate closely with nursing and allied staff
Contribute to safe environments for patients, staff, and visitors
Care for medical patients using demonstrated clinical knowledge
Requirements:
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Ability to catheterize, monitor IVs, and use aseptic technique
Skilled in blood glucose testing and 12-lead EKGs
Knowledge of oxygen equipment and setup
Basic computer skills and good attendance record
Bring acute medicine knowledge, clinical communication, and nursing skills to the Registered Practical Nurse team at WRHN @ Midtown.
