Full Time Phlebotomy Patient Technician
LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services
Perform phlebotomy and patient specimen collection as a full time Lab Patient Technician with LifeLabs, serving patients through variable shifts. Support accurate testing by preparing specimens and documenting essential information.
As a Lab Patient Technician, you will guide patients through collection procedures and support patient care from greeting through specimen transportation. Your responsibilities include phlebotomies, ECG tracings, Holter monitor connections, data entry, and special test collections. Strong communication and patient service skills are central to this work.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and confirm required test protocols
Perform phlebotomies, ECG tracings, and Holter monitor procedures
Collect special tests and complete related documentation
Enter patient demographics and requisition information
Prepare specimens for transportation and testing
Requirements:
Approved Laboratory Assistant program graduate preferred
Phlebotomy experience considered an asset
ECG training or experience considered an asset
Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
Patient privacy and confidentiality standards must be maintained
