Medical Laboratory Assistant Program Instructor

Support Medical Laboratory Assistant students through practical laboratory instruction, demonstrations, and feedback at Western Community College.
As an MLT Instructor, you will teach selected laboratory sections rather than every program course. The part-time assignment begins in Agassiz, with a subsequent anticipated teaching assignment at the Abbotsford Campus. Flexible teaching days and hours may be discussed according to availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on laboratory instruction and demonstrations
Explain procedures clearly and answer student questions
Provide guidance and constructive feedback
Ensure activities follow professional, safety, and institutional standards
Maintain attendance, assessment, and academic records
Requirements:
MLT certification in good standing with CSMLS
Minimum two years of recent medical laboratory work experience
Relevant laboratory safety and quality assurance knowledge
Teaching, training, or instructional experience preferred
Experience supporting student learning is an asset
Bring current medical laboratory knowledge and practical teaching ability to selected MLA laboratory courses across Agassiz and Abbotsford.
