As a Lumber Yard Associate, you will greet customers, understand their projects, recommend products, and load vehicles. You will identify lumber species, grades, dimensions, and common building materials while supporting yard operations. Training supports candidates without lumber or construction experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers within 60 seconds of arrival
Recommend products using the Greet, Qualify, Recommend, Close approach
Load products into customers’ vehicles
Organize, label, and flat-stack yard inventory
Maintain clean, safe, welcoming yard conditions
Requirements:

Passion for customer service and going beyond expectations
Curiosity and willingness to build product knowledge
Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Availability for flexible schedules, weekends, and holidays
