Work rotating hospital shifts in Kelowna as a casual Nursing Shift Coordinator supporting patient care, staffing, and bed utilization.
Interior Health’s Kelowna General Hospital needs a Shift Coordinator for days and nights. This Registered Nurse role provides clinical support during weekends, evenings, and night shifts. You will coordinate patient placement and staffing while helping maintain excellence in patient centered care across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate staffing across assigned hospital shifts
Facilitate patient placement decisions
Oversee bed utilization during coverage periods
Act as a clinical resource for staff
Support excellence in patient centered care
Requirements:
Registered Nurse practice within BCCNM standards
Adherence to the BCCNM code of ethics
Patient and family centered care approach
Availability for days and nights
Availability for short notice or scheduled shifts
Use nursing judgment and coordination skills to support staffing, patient placement, and care at Kelowna General Hospital.
