Registered Practical Nurse Long Term Care

Provide geriatric nursing care at AgeCare Lakeview Park in Oshawa, Ontario, applying professional practice and directing Personal Support Workers.
This regular Registered Practical Nurse position is offered at 0.40 FTE. You will support residents through long-term care nursing, collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, and health care partners, and communicate changes in resident status.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional nursing care to residents
Implement AgeCare policies and procedures with Registered Nurses
Notify physicians about significant resident status changes
Direct Personal Support Workers on the care team
Participate in shift reports and communicate resident changes
Requirements:
Knowledge of geriatric or long-term care nursing
Understanding of rehabilitation, activation, and personnel administration
Knowledge of applicable nursing home legislation and regulations
Current College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate of Competence
Membership in good standing with the College
Bring registered practical nursing, resident assessment, and team coordination skills to AgeCare Lakeview Park in Oshawa.
