Part Time Environmental Services Assistant
Extendicare
Support senior-care residents through routine repairs, minor maintenance, and customer service as a part-time Environmental Services Assistant at Extendicare.
Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, you will maintain facility systems, equipment, buildings, and grounds. The position includes plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, safety inspections, reporting, and housekeeping duties. You will work independently while supporting residents in a position of trust.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute routine repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment
Perform minor maintenance on facility buildings and equipment
Paint, complete minor carpentry, and maintain exterior grounds
Inspect premises for maintenance and safety concerns regularly
File required reports and complete assigned housekeeping duties
Requirements:
Follow oral and written instructions in English
Work independently and self-regulate daily activities
Move heavy objects and perform necessary physical duties
Understand plumbing, electrical, heating, mechanical, plastering, and painting
Provide or obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check
Apply your repair, maintenance, safety, and resident-service skills while supporting Extendicare’s senior-care environment part time.
