Housing Advisor Case Management

Support housing stability with case management and crisis intervention at Starling Community Services in a full-time contract position. Help people secure safe, affordable accommodations.
As a Housing Advisor, you will assess barriers affecting housing and provide support to individuals, couples, and families. You will develop action plans, educate clients about housing searches, and coordinate services with Housing Services colleagues and community partners. The position serves people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:

Assess barriers to securing and maintaining housing
Develop action plans with individuals, couples, and families
Educate clients about obtaining safe, affordable accommodations
Provide resources and supports for housing stability
Coordinate services with community partners
Requirements:

Degree or diploma in social services
Relevant community-based setting experience
Supportive counseling, case management, and crisis intervention experience
Knowledge of the K-W housing market and community services
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Use communication, counseling, and housing knowledge to help clients maintain safe accommodations through coordinated community supports.
