Master complex 5-axis CNC machining at Gates, programming precision components for electric water pumps and accessory drive tensioners. Work primarily on second shift.
This highly skilled Pilot Plant Machinist / Technician supports prototype and low-volume production. You will create Mastercam toolpaths, set up machining centers, and solve production CNC issues. Collaboration spans Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and the Tool Room team.
Key Responsibilities:

Program advanced 5-axis CNC machining centers
Create and prove prototype toolroom programs
Coordinate engineering schedules and outsourced operations
Reduce production downtime through CNC problem solving
Provide technical guidance during second shift
Requirements:

Seven to ten years of CNC machining experience
Five-axis milling experience with complex toolpaths
Mastercam or equivalent CAM software expertise
HAAS, Fanuc, or Matsuura Fanuc control experience
Knowledge of probing, GD&T, tooling, and materials
Apply advanced CNC programming, setup, probing, and troubleshooting skills to precision prototype manufacturing at Gates.
